Pledge to be YOU!

Blogland is so unique and each person who is a part of it is unique as well. Pledge for these 2 campaigns and be a part of something special going on in blogland!

{stick with me through this post, it's a little text heavier than I usually do, but its well worth it}

AS A KIND-HEARTED BLOGGER I PLEDGE TO:

  • create, inspire, and admire rather than compete with fellow bloggers
  • be understanding of each other-- in the blogging community, as well as in the world
  • stay away from internet/blogging bullying
  • speak my opinion freely, while still being mindful of other's feelings-- be tactful.
  • make an effort--no matter how big or small the gesture, to spread kindness or joy to others
  • acknowledge that I will make mistakes, (I am only human) but remember to learn from them
  • know that at times I will post about the negative stuff in life, and maybe even some complaining (I am only human) but I will always follow up with something happy/positive too.
  • believe that this world is a good place, filled with good people.

    "I solemnly swear to participate in as many hops and features here at FTLOB to grow my blogging experience but ultimately to gain amazing friends and good fellowship. I promise not to leave copy and pasted comments such as described in blogging tip #14 because I understand that it makes people feel uncomfortable, it's rude and I wouldn't want people doing that to my blog. I'm proud of my blog and being part of such a wonderful, loving community."

    I love seeing what other bloggers have to offer....

    here are a few of my confessions...

    when I started blogging, I was jealous of people who had more followers than me, which was almost everyone.

    I wanted to be the best blogger out there, so I learned alot about blogging and what not to do...

    Then I decided that linking up to EVERY linky I saw was not worth it, I realized that people don't want to read linky posts over and over again every day. Because I didn't want to read that either.

    I want to read amazing content, like how your day was, good or bad; what you ate for dinner: what you got at a garage sale; home improvement; and motivational posts {and of course so much more}

    I realized that I didn't want my readers to be bored, and I realized during my link up obsession days, that not a whole lot of people commented or followed me. I think I was stuck at 13 readers for 4 months or so...it's pretty pathetic that every post was about a new linky and I never had a real voice.

    So here I am, pledging to you, my readers and to myself.

    I NOW join linky parties because I love seeing what other people are linking up; not to compete with them.

    I'm motivated to write interesting and great content, to show my personality off, and to write about my life, because that is the purpose of this blog. I want to write things that my readers love to read, and can relate to.

    Life is not a competition, blogging shouldn't be either.

    People can be such bully's, judgemental and rude. I don't want any part in that. I don't want to see those kind of comments on my blog. God strictly tells us not to judge, or harshly criticize. I way too often see a blogger get disappointed, or apologize to their readers about what they wrote, because someone criticized them in their comment section. That to me is ridiculous.  I don't want to apologize for being honest, speaking my mind, and being a human being. I write because I want to, and if someone doesn't like it, they don't have to read it. They can judge all they want, they can try to bully me too, but God will take care of it all.

    Read the pledge again, and you'll understand what I'm getting at.

    I respect what each and every blogger has to offer, and YOU ALL offer some amazing things to my life! I've found something I love {since dropping out of college and becoming a homemaker}. Blogging has become something I LOVE!

    I'm encouraging YOU to take the pledge as well, if you're interested! I think its a great campaign, and I support it 100%

    Have a blessed day!

    {if you pledge as well, let Em Jay & Me, as well as FTLOB know in their comment sections. I would love to know if you pledge too. Leave a comment letting me know you joined!}

    What a great community we have out there! My favorite thing about blogging is that the blogging community works together for each other!
