Do you MISS me yet?!?!

Nope, didn't think so...Just Kidding!

I have been unbelievably busy, let me update.
I'm still in JC at my parents house, and will be until this coming Monday or Tuesday...lots of stuff going on.

1. Wedding Planning...things are slowly starting to fall in place. People don't seem so interested in having us as a client...I've had countless vendors tell me that they couldn't meet with me this week, because they were training new designers, only open a few days this week or at certain times...I'm a customer who likes to be catered to, and I love it when people appreciate and respect me.
Today mom and I are meeting our florist for the first time...pray for us.

2. I've been working out EVERY DAY for the past 4 days. Wii Just Dance 2 has kicked my butt. I danced for 3 hours straight on Sunday {I was enjoying dancing again for once}. Monday-Today we did one hour each...I've been exercising with my mom. On Tuesday we each bought the Wii Fit Plus {board and game}. Yesterday we each worked out for 1 hour.

3. SWEET P BOUTIQUE shop is NOW OPEN on ETSY! Visit us here...we are slowly putting things up to see how things flow...check us out!

4. Hubbs-to-be is extremely unhappy...which puts me in a HORRIBLE mood. Things aren't going well in West Virginia. He's dealing with men who seem to be moody and childish. A few nights ago, Brian was working because he's on nightshift, and the other guys that are on dayshift went out drinking{while on the clock}, got wasted, came back to location and slept it off. Brian got off of his shift at 6am, and walked to his soiled bed from a co-worker who peed his own bed, and then decided to sleep on Brian's bed. HOW DISGUSTING. This is just one, out of the overbearing things going on in WV. They are treating Brian like a child, and he can't handle it any more. He's either coming home Monday or Friday of next week. Please pray that things start to get better for him. He's so far from home, he's homesick, and he's in the company of people that don't deserve to be around him.

5. I've been having an awesome time with my mommy. My dad as been out of town for his job for a few days. So we've had a few girls days/nights with each other, filled with chocolate, laughter, and chick flicks...amazing time {which makes me feel even more guilty about what Brian is going through}.

Sweet P Boutique {My Business}

Did you even know I had a business?!?! Probably not.

So, if some of you have ever clicked on my About page and then proceeded to click on 'Sweet P Boutique', you may have found that I have a business, with my mom. We are a professional business, well, I have my DBA license.

Sweet P Boutique is the name of our business that is partially inactive right now. As you know, I'm currently planning my wedding, and my mom is a big help. She's the one I go to about everything because, well, her and my dad are paying for the wedding in it's entirety. She has gone to alot of bridal shows, consultations, and she's starting to get the hang of it. I think she is really enjoying it, and now she is kind of holding the reins, which is wonderful.

So, we don't have all the time in the world to craft and create and sell. We had an Etsy shop that I basically abandoned because nothing was happening. One day we will start it back up, someday after the wedding if not sooner.

We've made TONS of jewelry and accessories, and I was in charge of little girls tutu's and home decor items. We specialize in tutus, crosses, and jewelry. Of course there is so much more that we've crafted.

Here are some pictures of what we have in stock and have sold before...

These are Thank You Cards that I've made. I made these for people who gave us gifts during our Engagement Party back in July last year. Please excuse the horrible photography...these were taken with my iPhone3 back in July and my photography skills have deeply progressed since then {If you must, click each photo to see them larger, but please don't judge me lol.} These are all examples of designs I've made. I would love to sell any cards, Thank you, Invitations, etc. I would sell them in packs of 12 for $11.00 with matching envelopes. Of course shipping would be added to the price. If you're interested in a custom order, contact me.

Here are the crosses that my mom handmade. These are the last four we have left in stock. She can make more once the wedding is over. If you're interested please contact me. $35 for the 2ft crosses and $25 for the 1ft cross.

Here is a picture of a Tutu that I handmade and sold. Infant size. It's purely adorable and looks precious on any little girl...I'm currently making a custom order identical to this one for a friend of bridesmaid.

Isn't it just precious?!?! I think so!

We've also made jewelry. My mom does this in her spare time as a stress reliever to distract her from the issues with my brother.

These are some of creations. They are all different prices because of the materials used.

Flintstones Collection: big & chunky

Camo Bandana w/Camo bandana cross

Rings that match the bandana necklaces

hematite and turquoise

blue and white turquoise

the heart of the sunset

swarovski flower ring

my all time favorite necklace with a swarovski flower pendant

If you are interested in ANY of these items, please contact me! We are still selling, but we aren't advertising for the most part. I wanted to show you a little piece of what I'm made of.

Have an awesome week!

I'm obsessed *sigh*

Yes, I said it...officially obsessed!

I went to Sam Moon in Austin today with my mom. We were in there for 45 minutes. I managed to see only 1/2 of the entire store, and walked out with $150.00 of jewelry, and luggage.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a bag and jewelry addict. I LOVE accessories. I could have easily spent a thousand dollars in that store if I had the chance. Thank goodness I said no to several items I knew I didn't need. Needless to say, my mom was literally pulling me out of the store like a little girl!!! I will be back though, and soon...there are lots of great ideas for wedding gifts for my girls ;) and even my guys too!

My crafters bubble got bursted. If you didn't know already, my mom and I make jewelry. She has invested the past 6 months into creating jewelry. I walked into this store and realized that she would no longer be making jewelry. I managed to get all 3 of my necklaces for $10.50 a piece. My mom has sold hers exactly like these for $25.00. There is no way she could make these for only $10.50. NO WAY!

Here is what I LOVE the most about Sam Moon...they have an ONLINE STORE! In case you aren't familiar with Sam Moon, it's a Texas thing. They sell luggage, handbags, millions of accessories, and so much more. They are a trading company and sell things at 50-75% off of department store prices. Only problem is that they get all of their products from China...I'm an advocate of USA made products, but this I just cant help myself. They only have 5 stores currently...Dallas, Frisco, Houston, Fort Worth, and their newest location, Austin. They are opening a new location in Houston in the Memorial City Shopping Center next fall *sigh*. I WILL be visiting them weekly once they open...*wink*wink*
Here is a look at my shopping spree at Sam Moon Trading Company...be sure to visit them online or at one of their locations!

Here is my collection of jewelry 3 new necklace sets, 4 new earrings, and a bracelet.
I'm a sucker for swarovski bundles, swarovski flowers, and unique designs.

My zebra cross pendant that I couldn't live without

Pearl and clear swarovski necklace...simply elegant

My FAVORITE piece I bought today...Bronze bracelet

I also bought 2 black duffel bags for Brian for work. I don't have pics because they are in plastic bags and I think I'm going to try to give them to him for Christmas, so I don't want to unwrap them. He already knows I got them for him though. I also got a cute pink and brown duffel bag for myself.

(Oh yes, It has wheels too!!! It's fairly large as well!)

I hate that I love accessories like these, because I really don't want to be one of those materialistic girls/women. Truth is, none of this *junk* matters in life, but I love accessorizing myself, especially when my husband-to-be comes home from jobs. I like to look my best (most of the time).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL! I will be giving thanks to our Lord who has blessed me with each day of my life and each breath I've taken. He has chosen such a wonderful adventure for me! I'll be praying for our troops; past, present, and their families. They've given me the freedom to enjoy my journey of life God has chosen for me. Please don't take your Thanksgiving Day for granted, embrace every moment! Embrace Life!!!

Weekend Wonders & A Haven

Well it's midday Tuesday, and it's that time for me to post again!

We had a WONDERFUL past weekend! Brian came home on Friday. He rode home Friday morning with the Owner of Fesco, on his private jet. An amazing experience for Brian! West Virginia treated him well, but of course, not as well as Texas does. It was awesome to see Brian after 37 days of him being gone. When I first saw him, when I picked him up, I couldn't stop smiling. He was so excited, he was jumping up and down when he saw me. It was so nice to have him back home. We then grabbed some lunch amidst all of the Prairie Days Chaos, and then headed to my aunt's to finish up all of my Priarie Days projects.

I made 6 wooden crosses, 3 double layer, and 3 triple layer. I also made 10 pumpkin cutouts as well as the 17 tutus I had previously made. My parents and brother showed up Friday night to help finish the projects. We went to the park to set up our booth too! We didn't stay up too late finishing everything...but we were exhausted, and we knew we had to get up early the next morning.

Saturday morning we ALL woke up and headed to my aunt's. Brian had to go into work until noon, which was a bit sad, but he was lucky he got the day before off. We quickly packed our trucks up and headed to set up. Before we knew it, we were open for business and still setting things up.

The day went by really fast...we sold a good 40% of our items. We knew we wouldn't sell everything, but we hoped! Saturday was an awesome experience. I look forward to our next selling opportunity. The hard work put in was worth the experience.

Yesterday was the first day of the Making your Home a Haven Challenge. I didn't get to start yesterday, however, I went over to my cousin's house and his wife had a candle burning. I stopped, said a prayer and thought about the challenge. Today I'm cleaning my house and I will light my candles before I have my guests come over for dinner! In fact, I should be cleaning instead of writing this blog, thank goodness, last week, I made time to keep up with the house. Even though its a mess, it's still not a destruction path! So, on to cleaning, and cooking!

Join me, and the women of Women Living Well for the Making Your Home A Haven Challenge. Have a wonderful week!

Making Your Home a Haven

Hello Hello!

I'm an avid follower of my favorite blog, High Heeled Houswife. I saw a post/challenge the other day that I really wanted to be a part of. So here it is...

I want my home to be a haven for Brian and I, and our guests. Even though we aren't married yet, we consider our lifestyle one of a family.

Every week Women Living Well blog will post a new challenge to make our homes havens for our families. I encourage everyone to join in with all of us homemakers!

Good Luck to all! I will try my best to post at the end of each week about each challenge!

On another note, a quick update about the previous posts. Our A/C unit is going to need to be replaced, COMPLETELY! A $2000.00 replacement. Thank goodness we are only renting and our landlord will most likely take care of it. Otherwise, Brian would be in West Virginia for the rest of the year to make the money we would need for a new A/C unit.

El Campo Prairie Days is approaching quickly. Sweet P Boutique, my mom's and I's business, will have a craft booth there from 10am-Midnight. Check out our Sweet P Boutique Blog here and help us countdown to El Campo Prairie Days: 4 days!

Have a wonderful week!
