Pinterest Thursday #3

Itttttttttttttttttt's Pinterest Thursday!

I hope this post finds you all well today! Later today I'm traveling back home from my parents house. I've been there for 2 weeks. Hubs has been in west Texas since the 16th! He's finally coming home today! We're going to the annual El Campo Christmas Parade tonight and get to snuggle up in lawn chairs and see Santa! lol. Our friends are hosting a dinner and hot cocoa for friends & family!

I know you are all so curious about the wedding, but I decided today that I would show you all some inspiration from Pinterest, and give those readers who are tired of hearing about the wedding, a break. I'm not sure how anyone could need a break from looking at wedding pictures, but I'm sure there are people out there that have hidden my posts on facebook because I can't seem to get over myself and our wedding pictures! lol...

So, I have few projects I'm working on that are still 'in progress' and the following pins were my inspiration, maybe you can get some inspiration as well!

{don't forget, if you're on pinterest, follow me @mrsluckylee !}

DIY pretty iPhone case...using scrapbook paper and a clear, store bought case.

Concert & Movie Memory Jar: collect all of your fun tickets in a jar!

DIY Coasters made from the bottom of terra cotta pots

DIY Pearl filled Christmas ornament!

And just for some fun,

hehe, it is for me!

Have blessed day! Come back tomorrow for the next post in the 'Our Wedding' series!

Pinterest Day: Cinnamon Roll Waffles

Every Thursday I plan on blogging about the items I pin, and repin on Pinterest. Today, I have a sweet treat for you all!

If you haven't joined PINTEREST, please, send me your email address, either by comment, facebook, or email. You are missing OUT!  It's an amazing sight that took me 3 weeks to join back in June! I don't want you to go through the torture of waiting! It takes all but 2 seconds to send you an invite so you can start pinning as soon as you set your profile up!

Once you get set up, be sure to follow my boards so I can follow you back! @MrsLuckyLee is my username, and you can find me here. I love seeing what others pin! There are some awesome ideas floating out there!

Ok, so now that I've convinced you to join, and you've set up your account and you're following me,  I wanted to share some pins that I've decided to implement into my life. Recipes, tips, etc... (if I still haven't convinced you, just you wait).

Cinnamon Roll Waffles

I repinned ^^^this picture^^^ Tuesday night before going to bed, and woke up yesterday morning with the urge to make them for hubs who was sick.

This is how mine turned out...

Cinnamon Roll Waffles

THEY ARE AMAZING! The woman who thought of this is a genius...you can find her at A Hen's Nest with her tutorial and full pics on how to make these puppies. The iron I used is the same as hers.

Hubs LOVES them! I now have a reason to use my waffle iron more often! You can do the same thing with regular biscuits...

Cinnamon Roll Waffles
You will need:
  • a waffle iron, they sell them at Target and Walmart for decent prices. Mine is a simple $25 iron that you rotate.
  • 1 can (or more depending on how many you want) of refrigerated cinnamon rolls, I tested with Pillsbury.
Directions
Take can(s) of cinnamon rolls, and separate each roll (mine had pieces of cinnamon butter on each one, keep that yummy stuff on the rolls.)

Spray your iron with Pam cooking spray liberally, the top side AND the bottom side, do NOT neglect this step, you will regret it later when you try to use your iron again!

Put one roll on each piece of your iron (mine has 4 separated areas to make one BIG waffle), and close your iron, rotate if yours requires it...it will cook more evenly. My cinnamon rolls did not expand, however the biscuits did, but I simply just trimmed the edges that spewed out! Thank goodness its dough and not a liquid batter, no mess!

Set your timer for 2-3 minutes. Some people, like my dad, love gooey-undercooked cinnamon rolls. You decide how cooked you want yours!

Flip your iron and open. The waffles should not be stuck to the iron. They should be quite simple to get out, besides them being hot.

Take the glaze, and place a dollop, about a teaspoon size on each piece. You could also just drizzle it, but for me to do that it would require to heat the glaze. I wanted the glaze to melt on its own. (my glaze came in the cup form, not the packet form.)

Serve your starving kids, husband, yourself with these delectable waffles!

I will never be cooking cinnamon rolls in an oven ever again. I prefer cinnamon roll waffles!

Happy Pinning!

At Work...

Stopping by to say hello! Have a GREAT weekend!

I miss blogging ALOT. I wish I had more time to entertain all my lovely readers...

I'll continue to check in, and after the honeymoon and settling down from the excitement, I'll be back in blogging mode. Until then, I apologize that I'm very boring, and never around! I promise I'm reading all of your blogs, but usually while I'm waiting for an appointment, or in between printing invitations.

So God, is at work...and boy, so am I ;)

These days...

Oh, Hi! Do I know you?

Oh wait, I used to blog, and you read it, right?

Yeah, I kinda got caught up in wedding planning and DIY crafts for the wedding, and haven't blogged...

I know, I know...it's pathetic that I don't blog as often as I used to, and as I should.

But I'm here now, right?!? Ok, well I just wanted to drop by and say hello, and I'm thinking about you. I'm still alive, but I have some really important priorities that need to be taken care of.

Less than 4 months and this blog and my last name will change. Be prepared, it will be epic!

Love you all, and thanks for sticking with me! ;)
