Late Thankful Thursday & Fab Friday

I'm a little late on this, but here are my 5 things I am thankful for this week, followed by my top 3 obsessions this past week!

Thankful Thursday

1. God. Every week He will be #1. He is my #1 and always will be. This week, he's helped me alot with wedding planning. I've been quite stressed about some things, and he's shown me his way, and I've loved every minute of it. I am so blessed.

2. Holidays. They mean FAMILY to me, oh and food too :). I look forward to Thanksgiving, even though I'm not 100% sure what exactly us Lees To Be will be doing! Brian will be home in less than a week, exactly a week before Thanksgiving!

3. Fall Weather. We just got a cool front an hour ago, and it's starting to feel like fall again. This past week was in the 80's and HUMID like crazy, so I'm excited the cooler air is here again. I love snuggling in bed with a big blanket before falling asleep. I can't wait until its freezing and my parents start the fire in their fireplace! It gets so cozy & warm!

4. My parents. They've been so, well, awesome! They love when I come and stay with them for a while. My mom, especially. We get to do alot of girl stuff, and I think my mom enjoys the company. Both her and I are alone throughout most of our days, so when we get together, we enjoy time with one another. They never complain that I stay with them too long. In fact I thought that I would be driving home today, but I changed my mind this morning and decided that Sunday or Monday would be better because of weather. I love every minute of being at my parents. I never want to leave. *sigh* I can't wait to move back to the Hill Country *sigh*

5. Brian. Yet again, he will probably always be on my list. How can I not put my future husband on my 5 things I'm most thankful for every week? He's such a good sport, and loves that I can visit my parents as much as I do. I think it gives him more peace to know that I am with them and under their protection. I'm sure, once he gets home, he will wish that I was at home cleaning our house! HAHA ;) But he understands how I need some time away from home too!

I'm starting to think that my 5 things I am thankful for each week posts are becoming repetitive! Oh well, only two more weeks left until Thanksgiving! It's gone by so fast! It's crazy!

Here are my Fab Friday, top 3 obsessions for the week:

1. Chocolate. My chocolate intake for the week started on Sunday, we tried wedding cakes at the Wedding Fair in Austin, of course there was chocolate cake. We then went on to trying MORE wedding cake samples on Tuesday and Wednesday. Yesterday, mom, my brother and I went to Little Deli in Austin and I ordered a chocolate mousse cake for dessert! (ouch, my WW points this week are way off) Today, I ate a carmello bar AND coconut M&Ms! Not quite sure whats going on, but I know that doing all this chocolate talk is making me want...CHOCOLATE!!! NOT GOOD! *sigh*

2. Wedding. Wedding stuff is inevitable to think about because I am planning my wedding, but this week has been blown out of proportion on wedding planning. I have done so much, I'm actually ready to NOT think about the little details of the wedding like what wedding cake I want, to how I want the seating arranged for the Wedding party at the reception! There is so much information to consume and think about, its very easy to get overwhelmed! Cake tastings, floral arrangements, reception fabrics, my gown, and DIY crafts have consumed my past 7 days! But I am seriously obsessed.

3. Food. Homecooked meals, and eatting out! I got my mom's chili, and tortilla soup recipes! I'll be making them once I get home next week! Brian will be VERY happy to have a home-cooked meal! If you didn't see a previous post about my legendary Sopapilla Cheesecake Recipe, check it out, you won't regret it. Well maybe if you are worried about calories and how sweet it is!

Have a blessed weekend!

Fabulous Friday

Happy Friday! Here is an amazingly beautiful song to start off the fall and start off the day right! ♥

That was Randy Rogers Band-In My Arms Instead. Amazing song, and perfect for the fall and for missing Brian so much :)

I'm going to celebrate each week on Friday, by writing about my top 3 obsessions for the week!  I reduced it from 10 to 3, because when I originally wrote 10, it seemed like ALOT, and they all kind of ended up being linked together. So here are the 3 fads of my week!

1. BABIES: I love kids, and I've been thinking about a family ALOT lately! I know that God will show me when the appropriate time to have children will be after we get married. I have had baby fever for 2 long years now! It's getting worse as time goes by!

2. The blog world! I love blogging and reading others blogs! One in particular is It's a Blog Party

3. Randy Rogers Band! Their new album Burning Day is quite amazing and brilliant. There's nothing like good ole Texas Country playing in the background during your day :) It's wonderful Friday music.

Well, I'm off to calling Wedding vendors to get the ball rolling on contracts for the wedding. I have a bridal appointment tomorrow to try on dresses...and Sunday is the Bridal Extravaganza in Austin! What a great weekend ahead of me!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Thankful Thursdays

I'm sitting at my parents house in JC and was reading a new blog (well to me)  The Cape on The Corner, and noticed a new challenge going on, well kinda. Thankful Thursdays. So I decided to join her and specify 5 things that I am thankful for on Thursdays.

Today, I am thankful for:

1. God. ♥ He is purely amazing in all that he does. He has blessed me so much today, and everyday for keeping me alive and showing me how to become a better Christian. I am thankful for God and my life.

2. Brian. Without him, I would have to work, to take care of myself. He takes care of me 100% and I have become reliant on him financially for EVERYTHING! Even though my mom and I have started our business, we, currently, haven't made enough to even reimburse ourselves for our products. Brian is an amazing man, and he not only takes care of me, but he loves me for me, and wants to be my husband. Marriage is a laughed at relationship nowadays. People don't take marriage seriously. We do. We've already vowed not to EVER seperate, but instead to work out our problems, and compromise, and not be selfish. I admit, I am a very selfish person 75% of the time! I know this, and I try my best daily to work on that. I am impatiently waiting to marry such a truely incredible man.

3. My family. My parents, my cousins, my aunt's and uncles, my grandparent's, my brother, and my friends. They are all so important and a vital part of my everyday life. I am so appreciative of them, because they love me and they take care of me as well. My friends are my family.

4. Road trips. I love traveling, besides how tired it makes me. The road trip from El Campo to Austin is beautiful. Mostly open roads with alot of country side view. It's peaceful with nothing but Randy Rogers Band and Wade Bowen blasting on my stereo with the windows cracked a little bit and the wind blowing my hair. It's purely awesome to have me some alone time ♥.

5. My amazing skills...haha...seriously though! I baked the pumpkin cupcakes this past Sunday for Halloween, but I froze 6 of the biggest cupcakes, because I new I was coming home to JC this weekend. I pulled them out this morning before I left and brought them. As soon as we got home from dinner, I whipped up some buttercream frosting real quick and decorated the cupcakes! They were just as good as they were the day I made them, AMAZING!!! My parents LOVED them, my mom even wants the recipe...which is crazy, because I get ALL of my recipes from her! My dad ate 2...TWO! I couldnt even finish 1, if that says anything about them! They are seriously so sweet and decadent that if you eat too much, you get a really bad tummy ache. I get a slight tummy ache just by eating half of one...

Overall, today I am thankful for these 5 things and more! Tomorrow I'd like to start a new day off, and I'll try something new! I'll be blogging about my 10 fads/obsessions for the week with Fad Friday!

I'm also going to start blogging in the mornings instead of late at night...I'm a lazy bone when it comes to waking up early. So this will be something TOTALLY new to me. I LOVE to sleep, and I am often criticized for it by everyone! See ya'll tomorrow! :)
