My Favorite Things Challenge & a New Recipe!

Hey all,
It's been a few days, I've been super busy doing wedding stuff. The ball has really been rolling since Saturday! I've gotten my dress paid for, our caterer deposit down and contract signed, and I've also gone cake tasting! Next on the list is finding a florist and finalizing a baker!

But in the mean time I have few things to discuss tonight.

First off a new CHALLENGE! Brittany @ The High-Heeled Housewife is doing a challenge called My Favorite Things. On Mondays I will be sharing "my favorite things" about my life. Here is the schedule:

November 15: My favorite part of being a wife (or woman)-in my case a future wife & woman
November 22: My favorite thing about my husband (or family)- my future husband
November 29: My favorite household chore
December 6: My favorite part of the holiday season
December 13: My favorite part of my home
December 20: My favorite encouragement from the Bible

For more, check out Brittany's blog. She's too cute! I actually graduated from High School with her hubby! She's spunky and has recipes, stories of faith and determination, stories of her housemaking & stories of her family! You will LOVE her as much as I do! Enjoy!

Also, a recipe that is exceptional in my family's eyes...absolutely delish. The best part, SUPER easy!

Sopapilla Cheesecake
I added my own twist, but you can find this recipe on the net everywhere!
Ingredients

• 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 1/2 cups white sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 (8 ounce) cans crescent roll dough
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• honey

Directions
1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Beat the cream cheese with 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and the vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Unroll the cans of crescent roll dough, and use a rolling pin to shape the each piece into 9x13 inch rectangles. Press one piece into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture into the baking dish, then cover with the remaining piece of crescent dough.
3. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cheesecake. Stir the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar together with the cinnamon in a small bowl, and sprinkle over the cheesecake and drizzle honey over the top.
4. Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent dough has puffed and turned golden brown, about 45 minutes. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Here is a pic of the finished product :)
