Who are the Lucky Lees???
I'm Amber, and I write all the posts on the blog. This blog is a direct result of our journey as a family! Here are a few things about me...
- I'm a Jesus freak
- I'm a wife - who isn't always gracious, but is completely grateful
- I'm a stay-at-home-boymom of 2

- My family is my life - seriously, I have NO outside life and my friends are few, but are so very cherished relationships in my life
- My boys are absolutely precious and have filled my life with so much joy
- They also drive me crazy
- Being a mom is often overwhelming and beautiful all in the same moment
- My husband drives me nuts and our marriage is always work - it's worth every second of it and he is an amazing partner and father and I'm blessed by him daily
- We've been together since 2004 and married since 2011 {high school sweethearts!!}
- I love to cook
- I *loathe* cleaning
- I love to organize-but don't always follow through-and my house is always a wreck
- I love to travel {especially to the coast}, craft, paint, plan, fish & hunt and eat
- We love and live in TEXAS {go Texans and Hook 'Em Horns!}
Our Story:
In 2009 I started blogging and absolutely loved it.
Then, BJ proposed to me and I slowly got too busy with wedding planning and then we married in 2011.
In September 2013, we had our first son - EJ - and his stoic, stubborn, and lively spirit has completely changed my life.
Then in December 2014, we had our second son - baby N - and his sweet, stubborn, and smiley spirit has also completely changed my life.
I am so blessed that God chose ME as their mama. I have been a mama for over 2 years now, and it is the most fulfilling and consuming responsibility I have ever had the experience of being. I often am overwhelmed and exhausted, and sometimes I need grace every second of the day. I'm not always kind-I get frustrated easily-I often breakdown into tantrums myself.
I need grace --- Lots and Lots of Grace...
So, I'm just a wife and mama, working hard to be grace-filled, graceful, and grateful.

I am first and foremost a disciple of Jesus Christ and believe that He was and is the son of God our Father in Heaven and that he has risen and will return to earth again one day. He is the reason that I am alive and breathing and the reason why we are 'lucky'.
I am perfectly imperfect, I sin often, repent often, and am constantly seeking to be more like Jesus and less of this world.
We live in Southeast Texas, near Houston. BJ works his tail off as a Pipeline Operator and Supervisor for an oil company in Texas. He is often traveling for jobs and I'm often doing this parenting thing alone. He does everything he can to support us and to keep me at home with the boys.
