Lee Wedding {Parents of the Bride}

My parents. I have no words to describe my love for them. They are two outstanding people, and I am truly blessed to call them my mother & father.

They supported our wedding from the very beginning, when Brian asked them both for my hand in marriage. My mom was so excited to help me plan the wedding, and to work on all of the projects we had planned. My dad just wanted to make sure I had my dream wedding, and that I was happy.

On the day of our wedding, my mom was there by my side until I walked down the aisle. My dad was helping set up our hall & the ceremony, and worked hard to make everything beautiful. The following pictures were right before our ceremony started.

'are you ready?'

My parents just celebrated their 25th anniversary in Costa Rica. They are the epitome of a marriage, through and through. They exude love in everything that they do. I look up to them and their marriage, and I hope that one day my children will look at mine & my husbands marriage the way I look at theirs.

Lee Wedding {Behind the Wall}

With all of my wedding planning research, I stumbled on some pretty awesome ideas, especially through Pinterest. So since yesterday was Pinterest Thursday, and I didn't post anything related to pinterest whatsoever (another slap on the wrist, I hear ya), I thought today could be my pinterest related post. lol

The one idea that stuck out over and over again was pre-wedding pictures of the Bride & Groom. I knew I didn't want my groom to see me until I walked down the aisle (and it was worth it), but I wanted to get pictures together and to at least say hi before we met at the alter.

Then, I found this pin...

And LOVED it! I read the post that she wrote along with it, and knew I wanted to recreate this on our wedding day.

I kept it quiet from Brian, to kind of give him the element of surprise. He didn't know about it until our wedding planner and photographer got him ready for it!

I'm so glad that we did this. Things had been so chaotic the previous days before our wedding with finalizing everything. I was calm and collected, until this moment on that day. It was such a relief and comfort to just feel his hand. He's so warm and cheerful, it made me even more excited to walk down the aisle. I started to tear up a little bit once he grabbed my hand. The second picture shows his expression of that moment even better. This was such a great memory for us.

cheesin it for the pictures!

Lee Wedding {Special Gifts}

We knew the day we got engaged that our wedding day was a day to give each other something extremely special and unique as a gift. It was something we talked about alot, and meant a great deal to us.

I had some ideas for my groom, but little did I know, he had no clue what to get me, or so I thought.

I decided to go personal and make it totally unique and meaningful to Brian.

he just walked in the room and found his gifts laying on the table for him

I bought my groom a matching set of Case knives. Pocket knives are big in my family and my dad collects them. Hubs caught on to it pretty quickly and started buying knives. These were awesome looking bone replica knives. I took them to a local store and had a blade on each knife engraved. The knife on the left has his innitials, B.J.L., and the one on the right has his last name, which means the world to him, and now to me.

The other gift I got him was a camouflage limited edition of Crown Royal. He was born an hunter and camo is his preferred clothing style, lol. I knew it was the perfect addition, however, it needed a good personalization to it. So I took it to the same shop where I got the knives engraved, and had them etch lyrics from our wedding song/first dance song. "Nothing is better than this world of yours and mine." The song is called 'Yours and Mine' by Kyle Park. Absolutely beautiful Texas country melody that couldn't have fit better with our wedding. (the toolbox frame in the back is actually a beer boot in a box, Das Boot from the movie Beerfest. I got it when we first got engaged, and you'll see it another day with reception pictures)

I typed a personal letter to him to go with the gifts.

Hub's best friend and one of the best men just walked in the room at this moment, and I was so excited to see him. I was overcome with happiness and seeing him was awesome. Little did I know, he had a gift in his left hand from my groom.

the gift...

I started to open it while he was in there, he wanted to tell Brian the look on my face...

a gorgeous charm bracelet from Kay Jewelers with our innitials, wedding bells, two heart charm, wedding ring charm, and pink glass heart bead.

This was one of the highlights of the day...after our ceremony
